To honor 20 years of Jumpman at the olympic games, Eleven Eleven Watches collaborated with Jordan Brand to produce a very limited watch. Celebrating Jordan’s Gold Medal run in 1992 with the Dream Team and the Gold Medal run by Jordan Brand Athletes(Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Russel Westbrook) at the London games in 2012. The gold 48″ mm watch-face is white and navy featuring date and chronograph timers. The back of the watch is inscribed with the Jumpman logo inside the number 23, along with 1992 Barcelona and 2012 London. Under that “Exclusively for Jordan 200 Pieces”. The watch is packaged in a wooden slide out box containing two removable straps navy and white. The Jordan Brand x Eleven Eleven Gold Medal watch was produce for Jordan Brand Friends and Family limited to 200 pieces.
I remember seeing the few images released when these were made back in 2012 thinking, what do I have to do to get on that Friends and Family list. I’d only see people like Fat Joe or the owner from SoleFly actually post the watch to social media. Not to forgot the founder and president of Eleven Eleven watches @justinwatches. Several years later, I still haven’t found an answer to that question. I was able to acquire the Gold Medal Celebration watch and double up. Check out some stock photos and detailed shots from my Instagram.
As always, I’m looking to add to my Jordan watch collection. If you know someone that is selling please direct them my way. Here is a LINK for some of the pieces I’m still in search of.
The Jordan XX3 Alarm Chronograph watch is a sophisticated water-resistant timepiece that celebrates Air Jordan’s landmark 23rd (numbered sneaker) anniversary. The Jordan XX3 designed by Tinker Hatfield can be reflected in each watch most recognizable the super rare Titanium pair. This watch features date and chronograph stopwatch functionality in a stainless steel casing and K1 mineral glass crystal. In 2008 these three watches released exclusively on the Air Jordan Flight Club website limited to 230 of each color for $279.
My fascination for this watch started my Jordan watch collection. I created an Apple Watch Face to match the Black model before purchasing one. This was my way to have the watch without actually having it physically. For some reason, I believe that put an unexplainable energy in the world for me to find the Black model. To my satisfaction the watch was even better in person. At the time of the release, NT forums expected the watches to sit at a retail more than a general release sneaker launch. Surprisingly over the years the value has increased significantly with sold listings reaching over $1400. At the beginning of this year I found a seller with the Titanium and Silver face for a decent deal. Set complete!
The Air Jordan 2011’s sneaker technology included the first-ever interchangeable midsole system. Jordan Brand use the phrase “Choose Your Flight,” to promote this signature sneaker worn by then Jordan Brand athlete Dwyane Wade. The “Quick” blue midsole unit was equipped with Zoom Air in the heel and forefoot ideal for guards. While the “Explosive” red midsole unit included a 3/4 length encapsulated Air more suited for power players. Jordan Brand launched three watches in collaboration with Casio G-Shock: red for the Explosive unit, blue for the Quick unit and Black for the launch Anthracite colorway.
This week, I purchased one of the three Jordan Brand G-Shock watches. This set was released in limited quantities during All-Star Weekend 2011 at Westfield Culver City Mall’s Footaction. The retail price was $100 and each color was inspired by the Air Jordan 2011. “The red midsole in the Air Jordan 2011 assists you in becoming explosive and this red Jordan G-Shock is no different.” Jordan Brand included card. Check out the G-Shock Official Press release below.

As a long time, Jordan Collector I was fortuned enough to receive a piece of Jordan Brand history today. Air Jordan sneakers have been around since 1984 back when Phil Knight took a chance on a soon to be superstar. It wasn’t until September 9, 1997, that Nike officially launched the “Brand Jordan” line, this would later change to Jordan Brand. The launch was done through a satellite conference from Niketown New York, where members of the press were invited. Shortly after the conference Michael Jordan did a live television interview with Rosie O’Donnell. Michael talked about appearing in Space Jam, his family, career, “LeRoy Smith”, the new Brand Jordan company and plenty more. Blackstreet came along with Jordan to model the new clothing line.
Jordan Brand unveiled its new apparel and sneaker lineup, team members and college programs were also included in the new deal. The announcement of the Air Jordan XIII with a price tag of $150 was the highlight of the conference, which would launch later 11/1/1997. This sneaker had been debuted in movies worn by Michael Jordan himself in Space Jam (1996) and He Got Game (1998), by Jordan Brand athlete Ray Allen. Spike Lee a well-known Jordan ambassador has been seen in various Jordan commercials as Mars Blackmon. The film He Got Game, written and directed by Spike Lee, include the newly released Air Jordan 13 in numerous scenes. The nickname stuck with the shoes as sneakerheads dubbed them the He Got Game 13’s. Other sneakers debuted were the Jumpman Pro Quick, Jumpman Pro Strong, Jordan Team and Air Jordan trainers. The prices ranged between $90-$110.
Ray Allen was not the only Jordan Brand member in the spotlight. Vin Baker, Michael Finley, Derek Anderson, and Eddie Jones were also founding Jordan Brand athletes signed on launch day. These athletes also appeared at the conference with similar oversized suits like Jordan. While seen wearing these various Jordan models, these players were also known for having exclusive player editions and some eventually got their own signature sneaker. Three college universities were included in the deal to be sponsored by Brand Jordan (Cincinnati, St. John’s, and North Carolina A&T).
Entering in to his sixth NBA season, Jordan had begun preparing for his future after basketball. Jordan did not think of this move as a 9-5 job for him because of his current involvement in product creation and development. “I have been involved in the design of everything I have worn from Nike since we begun our relationship in 1984. The launch of the Jordan brand is simply an extension of that process.” – Michael Jordan
I was gifted this promotional watch from the launch event. It has a two-toned gold and silver face with a red and black leather band inspired by the Air Jordan 13. The launch date (9-9-97) is printed on the watch face along with a red Jumpman, gold roman numerals and date dial. The back has Brand Jordan Launch inscribed.
Below you can see pictures of an original Air Jordan XIII from 1997 listed on eBay. Also, check sources for additional detailed information and videos.
